Severe weather slammed a North Phoenix neighborhood near 19th Avenue and Peoria on Wednesday afternoon, leaving extensive damage to homes, vehicles, and a nearby Family Dollar. Hail stones reached the size of golf balls, smashing through residential windows, pepper-punching holes into house exteriors, and shattering windshields throughout the area. Phoenix resident Christina Gonzales described how the intense storm shook her home, causing glass to shoot down her hallway when windows were busted
